YOUNG AUDIENCES 2010-2011 TOUR

FOR SCHOOLS of B.-C.

Dear teachers, principals and staff of the schools of British Columbia,

It is my pleasure to write to you to announce the 2010-2011 programme for young audiences (Kindergarden to grade 6) and teenagers (Grade 7-12).

A significant number of schools booked last season’s show for elementary and secondary schools, Comment devenir parfait en trois jours, and Bang Boy, Bang and all the feedback we received during and after our provincial tour was highly positive and enthusiastic. Thanks to all of you, last spring’s experience has been a real success in about schools in B.-C. and Alberta in front of more than

16 000 students and adults! We would like to thank you for allowing a place both for arts and culture within your school!

From February 7th to March 4th 2011, we would like to offer you the opportunity to live a great theatrical experience within the walls of your school. The play L'Hypocrite, from the British-Columbian Michael Gauthier, tells the story of two high school best friends, Chuck and Eric who spend all of their free time together until Hélène becomes Eric’s girlfriend. Feeling left out, Chuck invents all kinds of schemes to try and control the situation. He reveals himself to be a first-class manipulator but perhaps he’s not the only one playing games. A perceptive, engaging story about friendship and relationships between teenagers.

From April 4th to May 6th 2011, the play La Chaise perdue, which will be touring throughout B.-C., tells the story of twelve-year-old Mathieu whose grandfather just passed away. Hoping to forget about him, upset and angry, Mathieu tries to get rid of the chair his granddad gave him. Before he even does so, the chair transports him into a world of fantasy where he meets all kinds of strange and extraordinary characters who force him to fight a dragon but also to confront his own feelings and memories and help him cope with them.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and/or if you want to book the play!

Reserve before Oct. 15th and save money:

  •  La Chaise perdue : $785 +HST before Oct. 15th instead of $810 +HST after Oct. 15th
  •  L'Hypocrite : $810 +HST before Oct. 15th instead of $835 +HST after Oct. 15th
